Job Description 

  • Develop design and construction documents

  • Perform field and conditions surveys

  • Report writing

  • Construction administration

  • Delegate tasks

  • Independently apply preservation concepts

  • Provide technical guidance about materials and specifications

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture and/or Historic Preservation

  • 5-8 years of professional experience in US Architecture firms

  • Proficiency in REVIT & AutoCAD

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • English proficiency required, both spoken and written

  • Legal US work status required

Junior Architect with REVIT Experience

Job Description 

  • Assist in conducting initial project research, site visits and/or minor surveying. 

  • Complete design drawings from SD through CA utilizing REVIT software under the direction of the Project Architect and Project Manager. 

  • Communicate and coordinate with consultants and contractors. 

  • Prepare design presentation drawings or 3D models. 

  • Research building materials. 

  • Assist PM or PA in project management and construction administration tasks. 

  • Interact with clients, consultants, and all team members to meet project demands and deadlines. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture. 

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in US Architecture firms. 

  • Proficiency in REVIT & AutoCAD. Min. 1 yr of REVIT utilization in a professional setting is preferable.

  • Experience in design and construction document preparation and field observation. 

  • The ability to work as part of team as well as independently in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment. 

  • English language proficiency required, both spoken and written 

  • Legal US work status required.

Full-Time Marketing and Business Development Assistant

PBDW Architects is currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to be a full-time Marketing and Business Development Assistant to support the Marketing and Business Development departments. You will report directly to the Marketing and Business Development Managers daily and assist them in all initiatives and, if necessary or required and under their supervision, work closely with individuals and groups at all levels of the firm. Your main responsibility will be assisting in the marketing of all existing projects and initiatives through developing content for our social media platforms, websites, and other in-house and direct marketing initiatives. In addition, you will coordinate events, lead award submissions, maintain current marketing research, and maintain our databases and mailing lists. You will regularly assist the Marketing Manager in the response to Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) which entail the creation of InDesign documents and collating information across multiple resources.

PBDW Architects specializes in preservation, restoration, adaptive reuse, new construction, and sustainability. The Marketing and Business Development Assistant should be an individual who can excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment and has an appreciation and understanding of architecture and design, and a background in graphic design and fine arts are required.

 What You Will Do:

  • Lead our social media campaigns on all platforms.

  • Lead and maintain the marketing efforts of existing projects and initiatives.

  • Assist in the preparation of proposal submissions, qualifications packages, presentations, brochures and decks, and other related initiatives.

  • Assist in lead tracking, client target lists, monitor government/agency RFP sites & list servers.

  • Work under the direction of the Marketing and Business Development Managers to develop relevant materials.

  • Provide general support for the Marketing and Business Development efforts in the office.

  • Lead/support office wide initiatives and team building opportunities

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related field.

  • 2-4 years marketing experience in related fields.

  • Personal Interest in architecture, interior design, art, art history, or adjacent fields.

  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Client/Customer Service: understanding of marketing as a service to the office.

  • Design: High level of design sensibility.

  • Graphics: High level of graphics capabilities.

  • Strong writing ability.

  • Ability to clearly organize documents and resources during the production process.

  • Strong proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and MS Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Social media platform management experience

  • Creative and strategic social media content creation

  • Website Platform maintenance experience

  • Experience with using photography equipment or working on photoshoots a plus.

  • An interest in and knowledge of the cultural landscape of New York City

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: Optional hybrid work schedule with three days a week in-person mandatory.
