UpFit Training Academy is a boutique fitness studio with a focus on bespoke training programs in a small group setting. After PBDW completed their first studio in 2018, they were engaged to design their second location catering to their downtown clientele. Split between two floors in a residential building, the 5,000 sf studio offers five zones for circuit training, including warm-up, big lifting, accessory weight training, conditioning, and personal training. The lower level contains lockers, a lounge area, individual bathrooms with luxury showers, a sauna, and a conference space with provisions for virtual training sessions.

PBDW worked closely with the Upfit Training Academy team to build a design that left space for customizable workouts that felt elevated regardless of their level of intensity, and to create physical spaces for community to grow organically.
